DR. DARRIN THORVALDSON
Dr. Darrin Thorvaldson has been in family practice for over 19 years. He focuses on the concept of whole body health and wellness through gentle and specific chiropractic care. By using advanced exam techniques such as thermal scanning, surface EMG scanning, heart rate variability testing, Gaitscan analysis and x-rays if necessary, he develops a wellness plan that is unique to each individual. Professionally, Dr. Darrin is a member of the Manitoba Chiropractors Association, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association,The Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) and The Chiropractic Cancer Foundation for Children.

Dr. Darrin is a proud father of four and has been in private practice with his wife, Tempest Thorvaldson, RMT, his whole practice career. He is a former elite level athlete and soccer player and is a huge sports enthusiast.
He also volunteers his time and health expertise with the local sports clubs in the south end of the city. He is available to speak to community groups, school classes, businesses, and sports teams on a variety of health and wellness topics including, but not limited to, stress management, nutrition, environment, and emotional impact in health. TEMPEST THORVALDSON, RMT
Tempest Thorvaldson, RMT is a graduate of Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies. She is a holistic wellness practitioner who has been in practice for over 24 years. She is a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. She works with patients of all ages and is an expert in support for pregnant moms and children with health needs as well.
As a mother of 4, she is well versed in prenatal care, infant massage instruction, and guidance and direction during labour and delivery. Her therapeutic approach to wellness includes not only her hands-on techniques but a wealth of knowledge from lifestyle coaching. She is the founder of n8 coaching and uses her knowledge and education to guide and support her patients to a better life of health and fulfillment.
She is married to Dr. Darrin Thorvaldson and has been in practice together with him for the last 19 years. In her free time, you can find her investing in the lives of her children. With all the time invested in her kids she still makes time for her own personal development. She is an avid runner and marathoner and makes her own health a priority. She loves to read empowering books and share that knowledge with the world.
DR. NICK SIMOES
At the early age of fifteen, Dr. Nick was first introduced to chiropractic after sustaining multiple injuries in an auto accident.Noticing significant improvements not only with his injuries, but also with his overall health, Dr. Nick knew he was destine to help others and began his journey of becoming a chiropractor himself. After graduating from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Dr. Nick completed his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Northwestern Health Sciences University in the United States. As a proud Manitoban, he was eager to return home to Winnipeg and share his knowledge with his community about the benefits chiropractic can offer with improving overall health.
Dr. Nick is a board-certified chiropractor in Canada and the United States of America, and a professional member of the Manitoba Chiropractors Association. He is also an active member of the Business Networking International’s Manitoba Aspire Chapter where he gets to discuss health and wellness weekly with the local business community.
Dr. Nick has a strong passion for learning and believes that knowledge is one of the most powerful gifts that we can ever give ourselves. He in-cooperates this philosophy when assessing each of his patients through his comprehensive evaluations. Utilizing advanced chiropractic technology such as computerized postural assessments, external neurological scans and digitalized x-rays, Dr. Nick can provide his patients with fundamental information about their current health status and ways to improve upon it. DR. KIMBERLY BARTON
Dr. Barton earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biochemistry at the University of Manitoba. She continued her career as a lab technician. After realizing conventional medicine’s limitations and being inspired by her own chiropractor, she was motivated to return back to school to study chiropractic. Dr. Barton attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis and completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating cum laude in 2013. She is an active member of the following groups: International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), Manitoba Chiropractors’ Association, International Chiropractic Association
Dr. Barton resonates deeply with chiropractic philosophy and strives to empower her patients to trust the innate intelligence of their own body, rather than rely on outer sources for healing.

Dr. Barton is trained in the tonally based chiropractic technique called Torque Release Technique. TRT uses neurological reflexes to detect areas of spinal cord distortion and pressure, which are then released using a low force, gentle and specific adjustment.

Having been under chiropractic care since Dr. Barton was a child herself, she is particularly passionate about providing care for families. Dr. Barton has continued her education through the International Pediatric Association of Chiropractic (ICPA) where she has been certified in pre-natal and pediatric care, including Webster’s technique.

Dr. Barton has a passion for sharing the healing principles of chiropractic and holds both corporate and community based workshops in her spare time. She also has a great love for dance including hip hop, bollywood and has been certified as a Zumba instructor!
KIMBERLY NYBERG, RMT
Kimberly has had experience in the health care field for most of her adult life. Graduating in 1993 from Lake of the Woods District Hospital, in Kenora, as a Registered Nursing Assistant, she moved to Winnipeg in 1994. She worked in home care, palliative care, and various nursing homes over the next 7 years. She went back to school when her daughters were 8 and 6 years old and got her diploma as a Special Needs Educational Assistant. She worked as a substitute in the Pembina Trails School Division until she landed a job as an Inclusion Specialist in a daycare where she stayed for 10 years.
Being half Swedish, massage came naturally to her and often massaged family and friends. Deciding to go back to school after her youngest daughter graduated high school; Massage Therapy seemed like a natural fit.
She graduated from Robertson College as a Registered Massage Therapist in August of 2018. She recognizes the benefits of self care and works on incorporating a healthy lifestyle on a regular basis for herself as well.
